My friend's birthday was fast approaching and once again I was fresh out of unique gift ideas. This is my typical mindset for any gifting holiday. I never know where to start or what to get ever. Some people it's easier than others but this friend is particularly difficult. She is never happy with any present she receives from anyone so this year I was committed to finding something she would absolutely love and adore. I'm tired of being the guy whose presents always fall flat.
Like with my typical gift hunting methods I started at the mall. One day I promise I'll skip the mall entirely because it's the worst place on the planet to ever visit but until that day it's still on my list of possible outlets for a gift. Weeding through the shops I fast came to the realization that the mall is terrible and I would never find anything. What was almost worth buying was overpriced too.
Once I failed yet again at the shopping mall I decided to try a store such as Target. I was thinking maybe a good gift card was my answer. Passing through the aisle to find a good choice I thought about how there is nothing unique about giving a gift card though. In actuality a gift card is probably one of the dullest choices you could go with. I was thinking it was the worst idea I had yet.
Finally I decided to try my luck on the Internet. After browsing for a little while and coming up with nothing my sister told me to check out I am a stuffed animal. Once I was there I knew immediately that; that was one of the unique gift ideas I was searching for all along.
My good friend's birthday came and when I showed her the present I picked out for her I could see in her eyes she loved it. I will no longer waste my time searching for presents at the mall. Now I know exactly where I'll be shopping from now on.
