A very important name in the entertainment industry would have to be Richard Overton. This guy has been credited for his contribution in the field for being an accomplished actor and comedian. At the same time, he has done some accomplishments in being a screen play writer as well.

It is not really surprising how he has developed such a keen interest in both the entertainment and the arts. Born in 1954 on the tenth of August, he has accomplished parents to begin with. Nancy, his mother was a singer and hall, his father was both a teacher and a music arranger at the time.

However, he did not spent much of his childhood in the place where he was born. Instead, he got to spend much of his younger days in a part of New Jersey. He stayed in Englewood for the most part of his childhood days, he even attended the Dwight Morrow High School which was situated in the area.

A very notable first appearance that he did on screen would have to be for a flick in the year 1982. He was a cast for the 'Young Doctors In Love'. It was a spoof that was done on the number of tv shows that are around that time which happen to touch the medical field.

Another movie that Richard Overton became a part of is the sequel to the 'Airplane'. This movie is also a comedy themed one. The director who took the production of this flick in the helm then was Ken Finkleman. Film credits also show that it was Finkleman who wrote it as well.

Nine eighties saw Rick being part of ensembles of cast of various tv shows and films. It has been reported that in this decade alone, he was a part of thirteen movies as well as seven televisions shows. Among the most notable ones include 'Odd Jobs', 'Beverly Hills Cop', 'Million Dollar Mystery', 'Modern Girls', and 'Blind Fury' among many others.

During the nineties, Rick was given his very own television show. However, 'The Edge' had to stop running after a year. In addition, he landed a guest role for two episodes of popular show 'Sienfeld'. He was also able to land a role in Robin Williams' flick at the time, which was 'Mrs. Doubtfire.

Richard Overton's career has been noted to span several decades now. His work for Dennis Miller Live in the year 1997 even earned him an Emmy. He wrote an episode for the show that earned him the award. His latest project was with Cameron Diaz' 2011 flick, 'The Bad Teacher'.
