2013 has seen a lot of great television shows but there are several that have stood out more than others. According to popularity, we were able to grab the best six, starting with Game of Thrones. It's a HBO TV show that is set on an imagined continent that is the home of 7 kingdoms. With the leaders of each of these kingdoms embroiled in a civil war for the iron throne, the show brings forth issues about faith, loyalty, sexuality and much more.
Getting points with TV audiences is Breaking Bad. A show about a chemistry teacher, Water White, and his new life of crime. He turns to meth production to afford his cancer treatment, but how long can he maintain this charade, and hide it from his family and friends?
Dexter also continues to draw excellent ratings each week. He is a cop in an LA precinct who has given himself a job description in addition to what is required in the team; he is a self-appointed vigilante and his target is serial killers. Just how long can he carry on before he is discovered for his murders? And what happens if they find him out? After all, he only kills serial killers.
Pretty Little Liars is also grabbing viewers' attention each week. Based on the novels by Sara Shepard, the show follows the lives of teenagers who grapple with the disappearance of one of their friends.
If you want to get your retro on, Mad Men could be perfect for you. Set in the 60s, this show focuses on the advertising industry along with the social chasms between men and ladies working in that period.
For a zany comedy, you cannot go wrong with Parks and Recreation. Follow Leslie Knope as she attempts to overcome the apathy of her less than stellar team with her zeal and passion for Parks and Recreation.
Get on these shows when you can to discover what you have been missing.
