Give it a cursory tryout by trying it on and moving around to see if it is comfortable or not. You should feel flexible and not too bulky.

Straps are also an important piece or item on your future purchase. Check that these are all adjustable and flexible. Carefully check the stitching alongside the straps to make sure that they are reinforced and properly pressed into the material. Some stitches can actually protrude and give you an uncomfortable rash or itch when your skin is pressed against it for long periods of time. Strap buckles are also important. Mostly made of plastic or high grade aluminum, make sure that the serrated teeth on these buckles are not worn.

Another factor in your fitting will be what you gender will be, whether you are male or female. Although some armors have no gender distinction, other brands do. It is a matter of scoping out and checking out the available brands out there. Body build will also factor into overall comfort when you wear it.

In general, these are the basic factors you should take into consideration when you go choose and buy your next or first concealable body armor. It may seem quite a handful to take into consideration but one should take extra care in making sure that you want to have all basic things covered when it comes to your life and personal safety.
