One of the more interesting parts of the Colvill's program is the caches they have embedded across the country. There are many serious difficulties when it comes to the ability of an 18 wheeler to move around the highways. Martin stated himself that the very first thing to take place in case of a collapse is an exodus from the towns and cities. Congestion might almost certainly make it impossible to navigate outside of cities. Additionally, if gas rates went up because of hyperinflation, cars would be stranded dead along the highways.
