Things To Know About Led Zepagain As A Tribute Band

By Rebecca Smith

Some of the greatest rock and roll bands have spawned their own imitators. This is partly about the best kind of compliment to the original musicians who created iconic music through some decades. One of the best rock bands in the history of this twentieth century music set the standards for so many others to follow and this has made rock really shine.

For young men so loved that band and the music it made that they were inspired to make what probably is one of those great tribute bands today. They style themselves Led Zepagain, and this reminds audiences who they will be imitating. They could do all Led Zep songs like the original, sounding and moving like the original group did.

They studied the group composed of the classic four man line up for rockers. The original bassist was John Paul Jones, the guitarist was Jimmy Page, and the drummer was the late John Bonham while the singer was Robert Plant. Zepagain covers these four musicians and could even pass for them if they wanted.

The group members are all Californians, a state where Zeppelin is still highly regarded for generations of rockers. And today, so many crave the original sound live that Zepagain has many followers who share their dreams of listening and watching a Zep live set. All are one in being appreciative of what are the greatest songs in rock history.

The imitators have accomplished much with the sixties and seventies sound. They have been mentioned in television shows and they have even been paid their own compliments from the original troupe itself. And this means that their efforts have really brought back the music for a new generation of listeners or concert goers.

What really distinguishes the imitators is that they could make exactly the same thing as originals did. The wall of sonic amplification, elegiac virtuoso solos, and the banshee wail of Robert Plant are all there. All being set against the backdrop that is a time capsule to those classic moments in rock mae by Zeppelin.

There are so many musicians who are still unable or unwilling to imitate note for note, but these folks are sure what they want. And this has translated to a new heyday for Zep, even while other musicians try making their own unique Zeppelin style sounds. Many have fallen off the wayside and only a handful ever had the same iconic image that Zeppelin had.

Zepagain will not pretend to be anything other than imitators, and this is the excellent key for their success. For those doing this, the journey continues for love of music and rock. They are still going on, and success is something they take in stride, but it is also testament to how they are talented, and how older music is still great.

Watching them live is another one of those really great things to do. Concert goers who have no idea what a Zep set looked and sounded like are turned on by their live sets. And it is an experience that will always be memorable for anyone.
