Easy To Play, Fun Drinking Games

So you want to get a party going but you are not sure how to go about doing it. That is exactly the time when you need some drinking games! Most of the best drinking games are easy to get going and simple to play. All you typically need are things like a deck of cards, some balls and/or empty cups. There are drinking games for just two people all the way up to games for an unlimited number of people. In fact, the majority of drinking games are designed with groups in mind.

One of the best games to get the party started is to play a word game. As each guest enters the door tell them that they are not to mention a certain word. Make it a common word. Whoever says that word has to take a shot of something. This game can go on all evening. It will be funny as people stumble over their conversations trying not to say that word. You can add other aspects to the game such yes, no or maybe and then ask them questions that need these words as an answer. Tell them that nodding the head does is included as a yes or no. This will have you guests laughing all evening.

One of the most popular fun drinking card games you can play with your friends lists as Drown the Clown. You need an even number of players. Deal the players a face down card, and turn it over with at the count of three. If one of the player's cards has the same number or value as the others, then point at the other person as fast as they can and shout "clown!" Who said the word has to take the first drink. If a player shouts the word then points at someone who does not match with their card,they two drinks. It is one of the best fun drinking games with cards because the rules change to include specific drinks and number of other things.

Word Drinking Games

This game takes an even number of players and a deck of cards. All of the players are dealt a card face down. Have someone not playing count to three. On the count of three everyone turns the cards over. If any of the players have the same card as another player then they have to point to the other player as fast as they can and shout clown! The last person to say clown has to take a drink. If they pointed at a person and the card does not match then they have to take two drinks. This game can be changed to make the drinks shots as well as changing the one who has to take the drink first.

The simplest variation on this game is to decree that there is a certain word that no one can say if someone says the word then that person has to take a drink. It is a lot more fun when you choose a common word and watch everyone trying to avoid saying that word. Choose a word such as "it" or "so" and then watch chaos and lots of drinking ensue. To make it more fun, ban words such as "yes" or "no" and then combine the word game with another game that involves a lot of "yes" or "no" questions.
