You may adjust the colors in removing red tints. Bring the contrast up to wash out the photos. You may also save every version in creating different names to compare and choose the best restoration.

You may fix the scratches. You may magnify the images to the scratched areas. Keep your windows open, so you can notice some changes. Open the dust filters and begin using the cursor to the scratched portions. You can also work slowly so that you can check the photo often. The filters may remove a certain detail of an image once the scratched portions are repaired.

In filling the missing portions, open the stamp tool for cloning of the editing software. You may put different name which depends to your specific software. Choose a portion of the image you wish to clone. You have to click once. Move the cursor to the portion you want to be repaired along with the cloned material. You should apply each detail properly and fill the entire area. You may also adjust the shadow details using the shadow option.

Crop the edges using a crop tool. After this, you may print the images. Use an inkjet or a printer to print all the restored photos. You must remember, to edit or undo an image if you are not satisfied with the result. You can still scan a black and white image.
