Formulating Some Crime Thriller Novels

By Sherry Gross

If you are planning to write these things, then there are some points that you need to know. What most people fail to notice in the novels that they are reading is that they all somehow follow a specific pattern. Thus, if you want to be one of the best writers in your town or even in your country, then continue reading the paragraphs below.

First, make the pulse of your readers race. If you are not able to do that, then that simply means that your crime thriller novels are still not ripe for publishing. You will need to work more on it. If you have never done this before, then you are free to use your favorite books as your reference, . Just do not copy them word by word because that is already an act of plagiarism.

Second, bring out the kid in all of your readers. Yes, you are giving them thrilling scenarios but at the end of the day, it comes to their respective imagination. If they are not so skilled in this aspect, then there is a great possibility that they will not enjoy reading your work. So, keep them guessing about what will happen next to the characters that you have placed in your story.

Third, make sure that your audience will lose sleep because of the pages that you have worked so hard on. If you have already reached that stage, then there is a great possibility that you will soon be one of the best selling authors in your country. So, just follow all the instructions of your publisher and polish your work even more.

For you to know that your books has already made it to the big scene, go to one of the most public places in your area. If you are able to see a lot of people holding your novel in that vicinity, then you can be proud of yourself from now on. Also, keep in mind that not only your talent has brought you to that stage. You have to give credit to your high level of perseverance as well.

Moreover, just keep your audience asking for more. Write scenarios that would make them wonder what is going to happen next. If you are able to create the perspective of both the criminal and the victim, then that would absolutely be wicked. This would lead your readers to know more about life.

Simply know when things are already getting too bloody in your plot. Ask the opinion of another individual. This will most probably have to be your editor.

Also, have different dynamics in your work. Otherwise, it will never stand out among the other thrillers that are already in the market. So, have more than one inspiration as much as possible. Interview a few criminals if you have to.

Lastly, consider the budget of your targeted audience. If you want a wide range of people to recognize your hard work, then settle for an affordable rate. You can go for a higher price if your novel is already a huge hit in bookstores nationwide.
