There are techniques and matters that you got to understand. Every artist has their own pride. They have their own methods too. That also goes to their subjects.

You should respect and understand that. That is your strength. However, at the same time, it could be your weakness too. That is true, particularly in several situations. Before the contest starts, surely, the organizer of the event would give you some themes and subject. Sticking to your own principles and art styles are important.

However, at events like this, learn to listen to the surroundings too. Before the big day, surely, you are given the time to think about the contest. Do not waste that time. If you are aiming to become the number one painter of this era, consider using your brain. You could still stick on your art style while adhering to the demands of the judges.

The thought of it might be pretty frustrating. Having such kind of feeling is pretty normal. Even those persons who failed to give their best would feel frustrated too. You can say that such emotion is true for everyone. Whether they put all of their strengths and best in producing good results, the fact that they lost, it only verifies how weak they are as an individual.

Their presence can be a huge threat to your existence. That is true, especially, if you would allow yourself to be left behind. It is alright to adapt. There is nothing wrong for you to add something new to your technique. Sticking to the traditional way would never be wrong. After all, in this field, everyone has the freedom to express their own ideas and techniques.

That is you. Therefore, before and after the contest, make sure to evaluate your weaknesses. Use your brain. Observe. Review the theme of the event once again. In addition, consider the positive points and the competitive advantage of your competitors. The art industry is also moving forward.

Surely, it might be frustrating to see yourself losing. This is just normal, though. This feeling is true for everybody. You better not ignore it. Ignoring things would only make things worst. Besides, try to remember the pain caused by your frustrations. As you realized how difficult it is to lose, you would also understand how tasty it is to win.

While you are it, try to evaluate again the situation. Know what are the primary reasons why you lost from the competitions. Analyze things through. Continue learning. Accept your mistakes. Change. Change for the better. Explore and take advantage of all of the things you have faced and experienced. Use your endeavors in overcoming your weaknesses.
