Imagine what life would be like if there was no forgiveness, imagine what the world would look like if people did not have love for one another. It would hell, but luckily, the Bible Restoration of the new covenant has played a big role in bringing people together, and making them live in godly peace and harmony. The objective of the new covenant was to restore peace, harmony and bring about salvation.
The Word of God is quite a big book, and it is not just full of knowledge about God but also has great promises made to humankind. And from the time of Moses to the time of John the Revelator, God has been working in the lives of humankind to restore, bless and elevate them from glory to glory. There are so many instances in the Bible where God promises to restore His people.
The first point in human history where God made a promise to restore humankind was at the time of Noah. God would have chosen to destroy the world, and life would no longer exist. Instead, he made a promise that He would restore the earth, and never again in heaven and earthly history destroy the world with such a big storm like he did.
Until now, no single humankind has witnessed any form of violent storm like the one that was when Noah and his family were in the ark. And after God restored the world, the new generation from the time of Noah would live happily and enjoy the blessings of God.
When God made the decision that He was going to give His only one son Jesus to come and save the world, He was sure that it could be the only way to save the human race from destruction and loss. It was the only way to restore the broken relationship between God and humankind. This was the only way to show the world the love of a loving and kind King who sits on the heavenly throne.
Prophet Daniel further foretold of a king who would come and rule the earth. John the Baptist spoke of the Lamb of God to the people, and said that He would be greater and Baptize people with the Holy Spirit and fire. Prophet Joel spoke of the last days where God would pour out His spirit to men, and this would be the exact gift, which Christ would bring.
The Biblical promise of the restoration of the relationship between God and man was fulfilled at the exact time Jesus rose from the dead. God has always wanted to have a good relationship with all people. This is a clear indication that the death of Christ at the place of Skull was not for granted.
After the death and resurrection of Jesus, the restoration of the relationship between God and man happened. From this time onwards, man and God would be friends, even unto the end of time.
