The Wisdom Of Taking Pre-Wedding Photography

By Justine Hall

Marriage may be the beginning of the lives of the bride and groom together, but their wedding day is the conclusion of a big preparation. It's because every couple knows that a wedding, regardless of how simply or extravagantly celebrated, is the product of a meticulous planning. This planning stage includes prenuptial photo session, wherein the bride and the groom pose in front of the camera together weeks or even months before the wedding.

Some may think that it is merely a trend, but pre-wedding photography has been around for a very long time. Even our parents and grandparents had a prenuptial photo shoot. However, it is just during the recent years that it has escalated in popularity. An increasing number of betrothed Singapore couples choose to pose together for the camera ahead of their wedding these days, possibly because they've seen the wisdom of doing so.

Pre-wedding shoots are for the photographer as much as they are for the couple. It's the couple's chance to get to know the person who will shoot the pictures on their wedding day, and it's the photographer's moment to understand what their clients wish. Some wedding photos look awkward because the subjects get shy and uncomfortable in front of the camera. Pre-wedding shoots are the perfect opportunity to lose the uneasiness.

Because these photo shoots allow them work in a stress-free environment, the couple and the photographer will become comfortable with one another and take natural-looking pictures. The couple would understand how the photographer works, and the latter will be familiar with what they like. This will lead to a more comfortable working relationship on the wedding day.

It is also fun to take prenuptial photos because they typically involve costumes and storylines. They can have fun themes or romantic premises, depending on what the photographer imagines or what the clients propose. Couples can simply have fun, be flirty, and get creative in front of the camera during the photography shoot. And if they are having fun, the images would likely capture fun shots as well.

Singapore prenuptial shoots are different from Singapore bridal wedding photos, however. The latter concentrates on the bride and is usually captured on the wedding day itself, while prenuptial shoots feature both the bride and the groom and are captured prior to the big day. Clients don't need to worry about spending more for a separate photo shoot fee because most Singapore photographers already include pre-wedding photos in their wedding photography packages.
