Martin Colvill: his Tactics on Doomsday Preppers

By Terrance Franklin

Martin Colvill is a truck driver who is dedicated to restoring the government of the United States by delivering shipping. As time passes he restores the reminiscences of a far better time to reality in order to restore hope to all. And most likely he watched Kevin Costner's The Postman one too many times.Regardless, he has several helpful ideas with regards to his segment on Doomsday Preppers.

1. World-wide Collapse: Chinese Finance

Martin has fears about the quantity of sovereign debt which China owns, and what would happen if it were to be remembered. Luckily for us, it is quite unlikely that would ever take place. There are large international organizations such as the WTO, UN and World Bank which exist only to avoid this from ever transpiring. The amount of backlash crashing the US economic system might have on the rest of the world makes it more or less an unachievable play to make from a game theory point of view. China might be declaring an economic fight with the entire world if it were to do this.

2. Dried food items

Martin has an excellent supply of dried food, that would even be useful in case he were to bug out on foot. He understands that it's a matter of ounces, not pounds. However I'm inquisitive as to what his strategies for water storage or acquisition might be. With a portable shelter, a purifier along with storage tanks could actually work, helping him to refill when near freshwater and be able to travel across arid areas.

3. Caches all over

One of the more interesting parts of the Colvill's program is the caches they have embedded across the country. There are many serious difficulties when it comes to the ability of an 18 wheeler to move around the highways. Martin stated himself that the very first thing to take place in case of a collapse is an exodus from the towns and cities. Congestion might almost certainly make it impossible to navigate outside of cities. Additionally, if gas rates went up because of hyperinflation, cars would be stranded dead along the highways. Going will be slow if at all, having to move automobiles one by one where the road is obstructed.

4. Road Warriors

If the Postman references were not sufficient, Martin had to throw a little Mad Max in it as well. Having the knowledge that jails are mostly operated by electrical locks, Martin doubts rampant criminals across the country. This isn't actually to point out the bands of desperate citizens that could arise. In case there is a grid failure, prisoners would have access to firearms, tear gas and also body armor right in the building if security guards were overcome. The most unfortunate people may be the best armed.

With 859 truckloads hi-jacked annually without a crisis, the roads would become more dangerous. In my opinion. the more time passed following a collapse, the more dangerous the roads would be as organized gangs operated outside the realms of whatever regulation and order remained. Martin is organized but could stand to arm himself a little bit better. His younger brother and posse may well be a welcome addition to carry his truck.
