Choosing The Perfect Rental Carnival Rides For The Next Big School Event

By Robert Patterson

If you're in charge of this year's fund raising event at your child's school, you know you have to come up with an idea that will have the adults spending money, and the kids having lots of fun. Fall carnivals are great ways to raise a lot of money. You can put the other parents on your committee in charge of the food and games while you concentrate on choosing the best rental carnival rides you can afford.

The kids will probably be disappointed if you don't rent the Spider Zone. This seems to be the favorite of kids of a certain age. It does not actually qualify as a ride however. It's a giant inflatable slide attached to a seven level climbing structure. The seven levels are completely enclosed with mesh for safety. The kids have to get to the top in order to access the slide.

The Dragonfly is another ride kids love. If you have ever been to a state fair, you've seen this ride. Riders sit in the Dragonfly, which starts spinning slowly and speeds up quickly. As it goes faster, the seats start to pull out from the center. Thirty riders can enjoy the Dragonfly at one time.

The Six Spin has some similarities with the Dragonfly, but it will not hold as many riders. It requires much less space than the Dragonfly. There are six seats with one rider each. Every rider has controls. When the Spin speeds up, the operator gives it a thirty degree tilt. The riders make the ride go backwards, up, and down by pushing the control bars back and forth.

You want to make sure there are rides for the youngest students. The Turbo Tub is a fun ride that little ones can get on with or without their parents. The ride spins in a circle, and the riders can spin their individual tubs or lock them so they do not spin. This gives parents the option of deciding how much of a ride their kids can handle.

Meltdown is an action game rather than a ride. Eight people can play at one time. The players stand on individual podiums, and two foam spinning arms try to knock the players off balance. To avoid the arms players have to duck or jump. This is a game that requires agility, stamina, and quick reaction times. It's not for little kids, and the game can take awhile to play if the participants are good at it.

You can not have a fall carnival and leave out the mechanical bull. This is a perennial favorite. Most of the bulls will adjust to the age and weight of the rider. The bigger the rider them more speed the bull will pick up and the more enthusiastically he will buck.

You're sure to have a hit on your hands when you plan a fall carnival complete with fun rides, challenging games, and good food. It should bring in an impressive amount of money. In the end, if everybody has fun and the school benefits, the work you did will be well worth it.
