Essential Guides For Birthday Ecards Messages

By Gary Morgan

Birthday cards are a way of greeting people on their birthdays which you can write a personal message for that celebrant. These are done usually when it is not possible for you to personally send your gifts or you have not bought one. Other cards have messages already written also on them and choosing which one that has something that is similar to the one you want to tell them is what you need to only do.

With the popularity of the internet and the convenience it gave to the people, another way of sending your heartfelt messages has been made. These are birthday ecards which you could either make yourself or choose one from thousands of selections available online. Here are some basic tips in writing a message for any celebrant.

Choose carefully your cards for each individual so there will be no need for you to add longer personal messages. Letting the printed one and the design do the work of greeting them is alright and you only need to add a few personal ones. This is useful if you like to keep it sweet and short and the card has everything you like to say already.

Milestone birthdays are the ones traditionally considered by the people to be an important age like the fiftieth, twenty first, eighteenth and other ages. The celebrant might not feel the difference of this particular birthday from others so it will be your job in making them feel that. There are available cards where the design prominently features the number.

Sometimes, people get too busy with responsibilities such as work and you only remembered their birthdays days after the actual day. Insert your sincere apology for giving it late or use it as an opportunity in writing something humorous instead. This might even make you stand out more in a positive way if properly done.

When sending one to kids, keeping your wishes fun, sweet and short is better because they do not get excited reading long ones even though they have just learned to read. Most adults do not like to be reminded of their new age but the kids love it when you show you know exactly how old they are. Write the number somewhere within your message if it is not printed already.

When giving one to a family member, you have probably given a lot of times before throughout the years of living together. Changing your personal message every time or alternating between longer and shorter ones is great. If the family relationship is not printed already then use the title you address them or mention your relationship.

Tough times may have happened during or before their birthdays such as illness, bereavement, job loss or other difficult circumstances. Sending a card is a great way to let them know you are thinking of them and celebrating their special day despite the difficulties. You may even brighten up their day by putting humor to your letter.

If sending to a close fellow employee then doing the same thing as what you do to your friends is fine. But if the relationship is strictly work related then better keep it formal. Avoid talking anything work related on your message.
